There are 100,001 spaces up for grabs on a 2012 survival spacecraft, according to this video:
I hope it has a wide door. And no security checks, otherwise it could take well into 2013 to load everyone!
The website proper breaks the seating down into categories.
- Lucky (free) – 50,000 available – 5 booked
- Economy – $9.99 – all 30,000 available still
- Comfort – $99 – 15,000
- Luxury – $999 – 5,000
- Captain – 1 spot, costs $10K

Many questions need to be asked… Will the eventual captain be qualified to fly a spaceship? What if there is no captain? No answers on the FAQ page, although they do reveal something:
The idea is that individuals could reserve spots on an imaginary spaceship that will leave earth before doomsday 2012. The 100,001 passengers will be the ones to “survive doomsday 2012” and inhabit a new planet.
Damn. Imaginary.
