Patrick Geryl – Prepare for October 27, 2010

September 7, 2010

Patrick Geryl recently made a prediction regarding the next solar storm. He believes that these storms (like the one on Aug 1) will continue in roughly a 85-day pattern until the big one in 2012, and that the ancient Mayans knew of this. Here are excerpts from 2012 Pro Blog:

On August 1st, the entire Earth-facing side of the sun erupted in a tumult of activity. There was a C3-class solar flare, a solar tsunami, multiple filaments of magnetism lifting off the stellar surface, large-scale shaking of the solar corona, radio bursts, a coronal mass ejection and more. Three days later, our planet Earth was hit with magnetic storms, yet not strong enough to dramatically disrupt life, yet strong enough to disturb certain GPS systems. Researchers had predicted the eruptions to take place around July 31st yet didn’t publish the prediction. Now, they want to make it a point about their next calculated prediction: October 27, 2010.

Patrick Geryl Interview

October 27, 2009

Patrick Geryl, best-selling author from Belgium, was recently interviewed by the Camelot team of Bill Ryan and Kerry Cassidy. It is a long interview, but gives a great insight into Geryl and his ideas. Recently Geryl was part of a team that used ground-penetrating radar to prove that below a probable site for the fabled labyrinth are indications that it is actually buried beneath. Flooding of the site is problematic, but Zahi Hawass has said that the site will be excavated. If Geryl is correct, they will find ancient records of great importance.

Here’s the interview on YouTube:

Emmerich & Redfield on 2012

September 11, 2009

Roland Emmerich: For the longest time I said, “I don’t want to do disaster movies anymore.” I didn’t want to repeat myself — and then I came across together with [writer] Harald [Kloser] this one idea, which I thought made it worth it to do another disaster movie; it’s actually the very oldest story people tell each other. It’s the story of a flood, and how to survive it — like a Noah’s Arc’s re-telling, in a modern way. That theory was too good to not to do it. This is the mother of all disasters.

James Redfield (author of The Celestine Prophecy): Fear is the opposite of love which is the barometer of how it’s spiritually connecting us and to have to stay in love and stay in optimism based on that love. 2012 I believe is just one of those challenges and I do think we probably would have some severe challenges physically on the planet, storms and those kinds of things but I really think there’s a big sort of weight scale, balance scale, out there in the sky and as people buy into it with certain expectations that we’re going to have all of this apocalypse then we’re powerful enough to create that. So I think that were we are now is to learn to manage collectively and individually our creative power out there with our intentions, our beliefs, and our faiths which is of course all the scriptures from all the religions talk about. We do have faith power. We have to marshal that and learn and believe in it but yet also cultivate the right faith projection out there. So I believe that we should be really talking about 2013 and talk about what’s the new most ideal spiritual world we could imagine and what does that look like.

“In The Courts Of The Sun” by Brian D’Amato

May 9, 2009

First off, it is fiction. But so was the Da Vinci Code… A review in the Chicago Tribune says:

They developed a way to send bursts of energy through a tiny, artificially created singularity… ”

That singularity is the narrator of D’Amato’s absolutely amazing new thriller about the end of the world—Jed DeLanda, a descendant of the Maya living in the year 2012, a math prodigy who spends his time playing Go against his computer and raking in profits from online trading.

…D’Amato’s genius is in making that possibility personal. His DeLanda is believable and very likable, even when he’s spouting ancient history and obscure mathematical theory.

Publishers Weekly says:

“A remarkable, unique, stand-out book. Prodigious in its scope, its originality, its ambition, its intelligence, and the mastery of its research. In a word: awesome. Or brilliant. Make that two words: awesome and brilliant.”
—Raymond Khoury, author of The Last Templar and The Sanctuary “Fans of the late Michael Crichton will welcome this engrossing thriller. . . . The period details are as convincing as those in Simon Levack’s superb Aztec mysteries.”

If I get a chance to read my preview copy in the next few weeks, I’ll let you know if is worth buying, but based on the previews, I’d say yes!

Toward 2012: edited by Daniel Pinchbeck

Hot on the heels of his well-received 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl comes an anthology of 2012 related articles that have appeared on the Reality Sandwich site, where Pinchbeck is the Editorial Director.

It includes interviews with Abbie Hoffman and artist Alex Grey, as well as articles by Stanislav Grof, John Major Jenkins, and DJ Spooky. Available for pre-order from Amazon, with a release date of Dec 26, 2008. Is this because it is unlikely to be purchased as a Xmas present?

New Book: 2013: The End of Days or a New Beginning

Released recently was a new exploration of the possibilities presented by the year 2012. 2013: The End of Days or a New Beginning, by Marie D Jones, who has previously co-authored books on the associated topics of 11:11 and Yellowstone, Supervolcano, looks into what the year following the Mayan doomsday might have in store for us.

Although it looks into the doomsday prophecies, according to author Nick Redfern:

The Complete Idiot’s Guide to 2012

Idiots Guide to 2012

Any doubt about the popularity of the 2012 meme can now be erased. A new book is being released in October 2008 titled The Complete Idiot’s Guide to 2012.

The authors, Cynthia and Colin Andrews have published Chapter 15 on their website. The description of their book has a gross inaccuracy, which is probably nothing more that a misconception of how search engines work:

The existence of almost 600,000 websites on 2012 indicates a huge fascination with this subject

2012Base.com, a directory of 2012 sites, lists only 400…

But this seems to be plain wrong:

Addresses Mayan predictions about global warming and climate change

My grandfather had never heard of global warming, let alone the ancient Mayans!
