Jay Sean – Hit 2012 Song
August 16, 2010
Debuting at #50 on the Billboard Hot 100 is 2012 (It Ain’t the End) by Jay Sean. Jay has had number one hits in many countries, so it will be interesting to see how this one fares.
The song doesn’t make Jay a 2012er. He told MTV:
“I saw the film … and I started to hear about the actual conspiracy theory and I was like, ‘OK, so here we go. It’s that whole Y2K thing again,’ ” the singer said about theories that suggest the world will end in two years. “And that didn’t happen, clearly.”

Don’t Watch 2012 in North Korea!
April 1, 2010

North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-il, has said that 2012 will be the year that his country will “open the grand gates to becoming a rising superpower”. This is likely due to April 15, 2012 being the centenary of the birth of Kim Il-sung, North Korea’s founder.
North Korea’s leaders do not want their people to watch a film in which the Earth is obliterated by a series of massive natural disasters, including earthquakes, tidal waves and volcanic eruptions, wiping out most of the planet, in the year they are due to rise in international stature.
Japan’s Asahi newspaper reported that “numerous” North Koreans caught watching copies of the film smuggled over the border from China have been arrested.
Authorities are prosecuting anyone caught in possession of the film with “a grave provocation against the development of the state,” a charge that carries a possible prison term of five years, the paper reported, citing anonymous sources.

Klaxons: 2012 Inspired the New Album
January 30, 2010
Already the most popular act to sing about 2012 (on their first album, Four Horsemen of 2012), Jamie Reynolds, lead singer of London-based indie rock band The Klaxons has revealed how 2012 was an important influence on the new album they are working on:
“2012′s a realignment. Its the coming of the fifth or sixth sun, whichever way you look at it,”says Reynolds. “Its the end of the Mayan Long Count. It just works mathematically, physically and in prophecy. This whole record is just a positive message for the time. That’s it.”
Jesse Ventura – 2012 Conspiracies
January 17, 2010
According to a quality 2012 blog (2012 SOS), the recent episode of Conspiracy Theory is worthy of a “disinformation® winner for best 2012 fearmongering“.
There’s nothing new in the documentary, and it lacks heart and soul, but the combination of ideas make a compelling case for a 2012 conspiracy. Add to this that Ventura was actually a Governor, and it makes great viewing.
On the intriguing side:
Denver airport does have disturbing murals and Masonic symbols, and there does seem to be more than just an airport happening. It could easily be a giant bunker. Check out this portion of the mural:

2012 on Neil Cavuto (FOX News)
January 6, 2010
Cavuto basically just reads out parts of the opinion piece he found at the New York Post – with an emphasis on the idea of borrowing money now (you won’t have to pay it back) and vacationing. He also mentions purchasing land in Africa. And the ideas of Patrick Geryl (the originator of the ideas behind the 2012 movie). Oh yeah, and the return of Christ…

2012 vs New Moon
October 30, 2009

Differing opinions can be found online regarding the expected fate of the 2012 movie when it launches two weeks from now. The fly in the ointment is New Moon, the twilight sequel which is released a week after 2012:
…the Roland Emmerich action flick is currently trending for an opening in the mid $40 million range. For early November, that’s nothing to sneeze at. However, with a rumored budget in the $250 million plus range “2012″ is going to have to have strong word of mouth and a lucrative Thanksgiving weekend to sail into profitability. Sony’s biggest concern? Interest among older males is the same percentage as older males for ”New Moon” and it opens a week earlier.
But based on history it should do better:
Five years ago, the director’s “The Day After Tomorrow” premiered to ticket sales of $68.7 million, topping his previous best first weekend set by 1996′s “Independence Day,” which grossed $50.2 million in its opening. The moviegoer survey data connected to “2012″ suggest the movie might approach the premieres of 2007′s “I Am Legend” ($77.2 million) and this April’s “Fast & Furious” ($70.9 million). [LA Times]
