Fueled by a crop of books, Web sites with countdown clocks, and claims about ancient timekeepers, interest is growing in what some see as the dawn of a new era, and others as an expiration date for Earth: December 21, 2012.
Type “2012″ into an Internet search engine and you’ll find survival guides, survival schools, predictions and “official stuff” to wear, including T-shirts with slogans such as “2012 The End” and “Doomsday 2012.”
Theories about what might happen range from solar storms triggering volcano eruptions to a polar reversal that will make the Earth spin in the opposite direction.

If the movie is based on the end of the Mayan calendar 02.21.2012 then we have to investigate what did the end meant for them, some say it is the re-birth, but nontheless it is the end of a 5126 year cycle, key word cycle. so life will continue, but who knows what changes we'll have to face.
We've entered a new Dark Age. People will believe anything. I weep for the future. Our stupidity will kill us all, not a polar shift. There are real threats to the human race to worry about: Islamic Terrorism for instance.
it never ceases to amaze me how people are so arrogant that they dismiss or affirm a point of view without any real comprehension of the subject matter.I neither agree nor disagree with some 2012 theories however i feel it more befitting to inquire and look further into the matter objectively and then reach a conclusion acknowledging the fact that i may still be wrong.
Shoot I believe it. Nothing in life is guaranteed even planet earth. Don't be narrow minded just be prepared for anything. Maybe life wont be extinct but I think something definetly will happen. Go on nasa.home and read about it. There also saying there will be an exact alignment on that year, and they aren't sure what will happen to human existance. So just be prepared!!!!

I have researched it. Go to jihadwatch.com for daily reports on Islamic terror. Research what the islamic world thinks of US. 70% of muslims "understand" the actions behind 9/11.
I took a look at the website you recommended but it seems to me that the material presented there is just fodder to promote the existing fear, confusion, and misunderstanding regarding terrorism. The reports completely disregard the truth that Islamic terrorism is a creation of the financial and political elite of this world. This is exactly the sort atmosphere warmongers and profiteers thrive on in order to maintain conflict and 'righteously' seize power and control worldwide. I find many Muslim ideologies odd and backward; however, Muslim people in general are no less blind sheep than Americans in the supposed war on terrorism. The real enemies are hidden from public view, not in caves, or bunkers or mosques. I doubt that 70% of Muslims know the truth as you suggest.

It's not gonna happen. Do you really believe that 6 billion people are going to die in four years? Because some ancient civilizations calendar runs out? WHY would you believe the word of a people who sacrificed up to FIVE-HUNDRED HUMAN BEINGS at a time to a SUN GOD. Seriously. What's more, geologists have PROVEN there are dates BEYOND 2012. What's more still, NO ONE seems to be able to get the dates right. You have some folks saying it's the 12th. Some say the 21st. Others say the 23rd.
Look at how many cults have said the earth was going to end on certain days. Look a Nostradumbass' theories. If his "prophecies" were true, we should've fought WWIII back in 99'. Remember Y2K? Yeah. We're all dead aren't we. All the machines turned off and we all died. THAT had more of a chance of happening than ANY of this 2012 BS. Polar reversals takes MILLIONS and MILLIONS of years. "Planet-X" is gonna smash into us? Please. Quit finding creative ways to write about the end of the world and go do something important with your lives. Or at least go out and get laid or something.
Lastly and most importantly, if we're all going to die, what the hell does it matter? Do you really want to live on a planet with like 10 people? Be a man, grow some balls. If we ARE going to die (which we aren't) just suck it up and deal with it. We all gotta go someday. First, terrorism does exist. Second, only radical Muslims are terrorists. These are people who have been brainwashed and subjected to propaganda their whole life. Third, polls are erroneous and subjective…study psychology and you'll understand the way a question is worded completely changes the actual question. So if you say "understand", well, I understand the actions behind 9/11 but that doesn't mean anything besides I have a comprehension level fit for any thinking adult.

Hi KSM…I agree with you!…i have also noticed that i am searching for my true identity..like a real nudginging to follow a 'life purpose'..have you seen 'The voice" by David Sereda?…all about how humanity is about to make a quantum leap and about how only collective consciousness of love in humans could actually change weather patterns…currently we have experienced a collective cons. of greed…so check it out!…i think people should maybe just be grateful for what they have to create a positive shift in themselves…this is what i am doing on a daily basis…hard tho with so many problems around…..good luck and thanks for a positive comment
