Suspected of killing two civilians and a police deputy is Drew Ryan Maras, and author of Open Your Eyes: To 2012 and Beyond. The deaths took place either side of the anniversary of 2012er Jared Lee Loughner killing six people in nearby Tuscon.
Geryl Offers $10K Reward

Patrick Geryl has put out a $10,000 reward. He is hoping to find someone with the necessary skills and qualifications who can convert his static analysis of solar activity changes into a dynamic model, and the hard part is that it needs to be published in a recognised astronomical journal.

I hope someone takes up the challenge – Geryl’s calculations are quite complex, and having them verified (or disproved) by an expert would be good for the 2012 community.
A Pair of Tasmanian 2012ers

Remarkably, Tasmanian newspaper The Mercury has found three locals who have information to share about 2012:
- Numerologist Shane Harkness says 2012 would bring greater peace and harmony. “When you add all the digits in 2012 together you get five, and five is about freedom,” he said.
- Tasmanian psychic Jason Betts said he published an annual list of 10 key predictions for the year ahead. He wasn’t ready to reveal his predictions for 2012…
- Nick Armstrong, who runs the website 2012 Unlimited, believes the global population will be put into a deep sleep sometime in the New Year and wake to a new world.
Nick Armstrong goes on to say “spiritual masters in other dimensions were guiding us towards major changes in the year ahead.”
Carl Calleman on The End of the Calendar

Catastrophic predictions for 2012, and/or the end of the Mayan Calendar, will be easy to judge when the day comes. Either something terrible (and obvious) occurs, or there will be nothing. Some might claim that from that day forth there will be an increase in natural disasters, but they were already probably proclaiming that for the period of now anyway.
New age predictions are much different, for the changes might be hard to detect, especially for non-believers.
Carl Calleman believes that the Mayan Calendar ended on October 28, 2011. Here’s some of how he describes that end, and a new beginning:
Many now typically report that they experience a flattening of time, an end to time acceleration and as a result a great calmness. The end to the acceleration of time is even experienced as a deceleration and some have reached so deep into their own presence that the term “future’’ is starting to loose its previous meaning. The future is no longer a place to get to. With the completion of the Ninth wave we potentially already have direct access to all the guidance we need. This shifted experience of time all seems understandable given that was has happened is that the directed nine evolutionary processes from seed to mature have now been completed. For those that have a conscious relationship to the tree of life the new experience of time will continue to deepen also after this shift. As we know from all previous experience of the shifting energies of the Mayan calendar it always takes time until their external manifestations become visible.
…It was in fact clear to me already then that a large segment of humanity that had been born into the materialist Seventh wave was so shut off from spiritual experiences that they were not responsive to waves which carried a spiritual light. It was then also possible that they would resist the changes to come as those could be understood from the Mayan calendar leading up to 2011. People that have been born into the eighth wave starting in 1999 are in fact today not yet teenagers and those born into the ninth wave have not yet learned to talk. Even if you generously include people that were born into the pre-wave (starting in 1986) of the Galactic Underworld they would still be less than 25 years old and outside of all major decision making that has shaped the course of our civilization since.
So, it could be a generation before the people born in the appropriate waves will be making their mark on society…

After a lengthy break, Ken Carey ( author of the Starseed Transmissions) has written an article to share is thoughts on the upcoming changes, due in 2011 (not 2012!).
Today it is no longer about individual human accomplishment, incarnation, or enlightenment. It is about the singularity of human consciousness awakening (in all who can handle it). It is about the Great Tree of Life at the core of our humanity experiencing itself as a single unity, with our individual creativity fear-free to open into becoming its consciously interwoven leaves and blossoms. At times we will be with those in the collective core at the very singularity of consciousness itself. At other times we will be those same true selves inhabiting sensuous human bodies.
Shirley MacLaine on Oprah

Originally an actress, and now better known for her spiritual work, Shirley MacLaine recently appeared on The Oprah Show, and one of the things they discussed was 2012. Shirley shared information regarding the upcoming galactic alignment, and its connections with astrology, the weather, frequencies and gravitational pull. She also points out this is the cause of everything seeming to happen so fast lately, and that we need to choose our personal spiritual path ASAP.
Meanwhile, John Major Jenkins laments not being credited by Shirley for being the originator of the idea. Like Patrick Geryl and the 2012 movie, ideas and knowledge cannot be copyrighted.
Farewell José Argüelles

Sad news this week, with the passing of 2012 author José Argüelles age 72. He was best known for organising the Harmonic Convergence event in 1987, and writing The Mayan Factor, published at the same time. This was one of the key factors that lead to the 2012 meme becoming known far and wide.
Carl Johan Calleman says of the book:
It became a great source of inspiration for myself as well as for many others and for a few years I regarded it almost as a bible to Mayan cosmology. In this book Argüelles introduced a few very radical thoughts for the first time: 1/ The shifts in the Mayan calendar and especially the Long Count provides for an understanding of human history. 2/ What is important in the Mayan calendar are the non-astronomical cycles of 260 and 360 days and 3/ The energies of the Tzolkin provide a matrix for the evolution of the longer cycles. Although he had forerunners such as Peter Balin, Tony Shearer, and Frank Waters, Argüelles’ ideas were groundbreaking and created the necessary opening that allowed for us to realize that the Mayan calendar could be true and then also help us understand the contours of a cosmic plan.

Geryl Confirms Dec 2012 Solar Storm

Patrick Geryl has re-confirmed his research with a blog post and a video, in which he predicts that solar activity will stay low until Dec 2012, at which point there will suddenly be thousands of sunspots, causing a massive solar flare to be launched in the direction of Earth, destroying human civilization.

Patrick Geryl recently made a prediction regarding the next solar storm. He believes that these storms (like the one on Aug 1) will continue in roughly a 85-day pattern until the big one in 2012, and that the ancient Mayans knew of this. Here are excerpts from 2012 Pro Blog:
On August 1st, the entire Earth-facing side of the sun erupted in a tumult of activity. There was a C3-class solar flare, a solar tsunami, multiple filaments of magnetism lifting off the stellar surface, large-scale shaking of the solar corona, radio bursts, a coronal mass ejection and more. Three days later, our planet Earth was hit with magnetic storms, yet not strong enough to dramatically disrupt life, yet strong enough to disturb certain GPS systems. Researchers had predicted the eruptions to take place around July 31st yet didn’t publish the prediction. Now, they want to make it a point about their next calculated prediction: October 27, 2010.
