Chinese 2012er Threatened Skyscraper

The 23 year old, surnamed Yin, strapped a fake bomb to his body in March and made his way to the top of the 88-story Jin Mao tower — the world’s 13th tallest building and Shanghai’s second tallest, the Shanghai Daily newspaper reported Monday.
Brandishing a knife in one hand and talking into a mobile phone with the other, Yin threatened to blow himself up and destroy the building unless police allowed him to meet the city’s top government officials to warn them about the coming cataclysm.
“Our planet is going to be destroyed in 2012. I demand to speak to the relevant officials within 20 minutes. Otherwise, I will blow up the tower’s observation deck,” Yin told police over the phone, according to the prosecution.
He repeatedly shouted “The earth is going to be destroyed,” before being talked into surrendering more than an hour later.
Yin was working as a waiter at a hotpot restaurant in neighboring Jiangsu Province at the time he came to Shanghai to carry out his plan, the prosecution told the court.
Yin said, “I want more people to know that the earth will be destroyed in 2012, so they still have time to build shelters to save more lives.”
Cosmic Convergence – This Month

If you are a fan/follower of Carl Johan Calleman, he is calling out to you. There will be a “worldwide event”, September 23-26 2011, called Cosmic Convergence. It is open to anyone, and participants may create events according to their own ideas. The timing is wholly to do with the Mayan Calendar, although the flyer doesn’t really specify the connection between the calendar and these dates. Presumably he is wary of confusing folk by telling them that his interpretation has it ending in 2011… despite all they may have heard to the contrary.
Be the change and help the shift become a reality. I’m sure the event will be regarded as being very successful by the organizers.
2012er Plans Death Leap

I guess the news would be worse if it involved an entire cult, but it seems that the plans involve just a single person. Peter A. Gersten has published on his website plans to leap from the top of Bell Rock (Sedona, Arizona) on Dec 21, 2012, at 11:11 UT (which means his leap will be in the dark, 5:11AM Sedona time). He intends to prove, one way or another, that a “cosmic portal” will open at that time.
My favorite illustration of this metaphor is contained within the movie version of Ray Bradbury’s Martian Chronicles. There is a scene in which one a religious leader – believing that there is an unseen intelligence existing on Mars – jumps off a cliff to test his theory. What a strange way to prove a point, huh? But his leap of faith is rewarded when the Martians surround him with a protective bubble before both he and his belief strike the hard surface of the red planet.
Most of you will think that I am delusional and that my insane act will certainly result in my death. Death is inevitable – at least nowadays – and 100 years from now it won’t matter whether I died in 2012 or 2013 or even 2020. But I believe that some type of cosmic portal will be opening at that time and place and that an opportunity will present itself. I fully expect that it will either lead to the next level of this cosmic program; freedom from an imprisoning time-loop; a magical Martian-like bubble; or something equally as exotic.
In March 2012 I will reach 70 years of age and nine months later we arrive at the cosmic coordinate. I think it will then be time for me to move on – in one form or another. I’d like to see what else our Cosmic Computer has to offer.
